Lee Roy Selmon has a history that combines family scholarship football with volunteer work in the community. The first line of his family was that he's the youngest out of the nine children raised in Eufala through Lucious Selmon. Two soccer. He is among the three brothers that played for Oklahoma. The three brothers were all All-Americans. Lucious Jr. Dewey, Lee Roy, and Lucious Jr. Dewey started the 1973 season. Lee Roy was named the top offensive lineman in country by Outland as well as Lombardi Awards. The three years he was a starter Oklahoma finished 32-1-1 and won two national championships. As an National Football Foundation Scholarship-Athlete, Selmon was given the opportunity to receive a scholarship in his third year in the year 1975. Selmon holds a bachelor's degree in education. Lee Roy spent ten hours per week volunteering during his college years. After graduation Lee Roy relocating to Tampa which is where he played for 9 years with Tampa's Buccaneers. There were three times he was selected All-Pro. Then he began his business career. He began his career in 1988. was working as an Account Relation Officer in the First Florida Bank in Tampa. He worked for the Special Olympics Easter Seals Baptist Church Ronald McDonald House United Negro College Fund South Florida Institute as well as the Black Life Hall of Fame Bowl Committee. It's no wonder that the Junior Chamber of Commerce designated Lee Roy as one of the most prominent young men across the nation. Lee Roy weighed 256 lbs and stood at a height of 7-foot-2. In his time at college, he commanded the team of 1975. He was hired by the University of South Florida in 1993 as the associate director of sports. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame since 1988. His parents, Lucious and Mary Selmon Sr. were awarded the Distinguished American Award in 1989 from the Oklahoma City Chapter National Football Foundation. Henry Bellmon the Governor of Oklahoma was the person who presented the award.
