Gunn was well known for her role for her character Skyler on AMC's Breaking drama. Her character was awarded an award called the Primetime Emmy Award, Outstanding Supporting Performance in the field of Series Drama in 2013. In August 2013 she wrote a piece in an op-ed piece for The New York Times that focused on the negative reaction of the public towards her role.
