Aahoo Jansouzshahi (10 January 1980), better known as Sarah Shahi, an American actress and former model. She played Carmen in the TV show The L Word, Kate Reed on USA Network's legal drama Fairly Legal (2011-2012) and Sameen Shaw in CBS the crime drama Person of Interest(2012-2016). She also played the role of Det. Dani Reese is a character in the show Life[3] as well as Alias. She starred in Reverie in the series Reverie, which premiered in 2018. She starred as a recurring character in the show City on a Hill on Showtime in 2019[5[5]. She also appeared in seven episodes of The Rookie playing the role of Jessica Russo in the romantic interest Jessica Russo. Shahi met Robert Altman on the set Dr. T and the Women in Texas. In the set, she was advised by Altman to move to Hollywood and was offered roles on Alias as well as Dawson's Creek. In 2005, she took on the role of DJ Carmen de la Pica Morales as a supporting character on The L Word. She became a part of it during its second season. Shahi's contract , which ran for two years was ended following the fourth season. The character she played was deleted from the show.
